Hello All. Firstly I'd like to apologise for not getting on here as much the last few weeks. We've had some fairly major changes at home and as a result have had to cut back on what we're able to do. This weekend is the Doll & Teddy Fair at the National Motorcycle Museum. Unfortunately, we're not able to be there, but we are still planning to be at the Pudsey Doll and Teddy Fair in April. So, we're sorry we'll not be there this weekend, but hopefully we'll catch up with you all soon.
That's all for now, but if there's any last minute updates about fairs that we're doing, they'll be on our Facebook page. So if you haven't done so already, why not go over there now and give us a 'like'.
A Happy New Year to all of our customers. We've a fairly quiet month for fairs, especially as the Donington Park Toy Fair on 22nd January has been cancelled. The Donington Park Toy Fair on 2nd April has also been cancelled, though a new date of 9th April has been added to the diary. In light of this we will be doing the Stafford Showground Toy Collectors fair on Sunday 15th January. We will also be at the Doncaster Racecourse Antique Fair on 29th January as originally planned.
Regular visitors to our website may have noticed that we've had a few technical glitches. These were due to some updates behind the scenes that didn't go quite to plan. As a result of this we are now running on a nice shiny new server a month ahead of schedule. We've also done some major tidying up behind the scenes and whilst there are still a few more bits to do, things should be a little faster than they were before.
*** Postal Strike Update 19/12/2016 ***
Please note, the Post Office we use is not taking part in the current wave of postal strikes. The strikes are only affecting certain Post Offices, and not Royal Mail who carry out the deliveries. This means our orders are being dispatched and processed as normal - so get shopping, there's still time - ebay.co.uk/helpemptymyattic!
Well Christmas is finally upon us, but there's still plenty of time to get those presents. We'll be posting out almost every day right up to Christmas Eve, and for most items within the UK delivery is the next working day when you pay before 1pm. If you're outside the UK, we'll still do our best, but you're probably best to check the www.royalmail.com website for recommended last posting dates.
We still have a few fairs left this year including Barton, Pudsey Toy, the NEC Toy Collectors Fair and the Doncaster Toy Fair. Our list of provisional dates is now available on our 2017 Fair Dates page, though there are still a few dates to confirm. As usual the most up to date information can be found on our Facebook page.
So that just leaves us to wish all of our customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The list of fair dates for 2017 is almost done, and will hopefully be online later this week. In the mean time we have 5 fairs this month. We've already done the Pudsey Doll & Teddy Fair, and the Bolton Macron Stadium Antique Fair, but we still have the Doncaster Toy & Train and Antique Fairs coming up at the Doncaster Racecouse on 17th October (Toy) and 23rd October, and the Donington Park Toy & Collectors Fair on Sunday 30th. Our Facebook page has weekly updates and reminders of where we're going to be each week, so for more details head over there and give us a like!
After a busy start to the month with the Sandown Park Toy Fair and Hugglets Teddy Festival, we have the Doll & Teddy Fair at the National Motorcycle Museum (near the NEC in Birmingham) on Sunday 25th September. That means that we won't be at the Doncaster Antique Fair this month, though we will be back in Doncaster twice in October with the Toy Collectors Fair on Sunday October 16th and the Antique and Collectors Fair on Sunday October 23rd. We're also starting to compile dates for fairs that we're hoping to do in 2017, so keeps your eyes peeled for the update.
As we mentioned last month, there aren't many fairs on this month, and the only fair we have in the diary during August is the Doncaster Racecourse Antique Fair on the Sunday and Monday of the Bank Holiday weekend - 28th and 29th August. Don't forget our Facebook page has all of the latest updates, so if there are any last minute fairs you'll find details on there. In the mean time we're having a bit of a clear out of the attic and those of you at York and Wetherby last week will have got some bargains! We're also doing some tidying up behind the scenes on the website, which should hopefully resolve the intermittent problems that we're having with Pay with Amazon.
Finally, the office will be closed from Wednesday 10th August until Sunday 21st. Any queries received or orders placed during this time will be processed when we re-open on Monday 22nd. So, we'd like to wish our customers a happy holiday, and we'll see you soon.
Apparently summer has now arrived, so many of the fairs are on their summer break. This month the only fair that we have confirmed is the Doncaster Racecourse Toy Fair on Sunday 24th July, but if that changes we will let you know on our Facebook page. We're still working our way through the huge collection of games that came in last month, and we starting to get to the more interesting vintage ones, so keep an out out on our
page. We're also starting to work through a large collection of toy and other catalogues which include Corgi, Lego, Brumm, Matchbox, Hornby and Palitoy. They're all in our
This month we only have a couple of Toy and Bear fairs, so we're going to be busy getting fresh stuff in and listed. So far this month we've acquired a new collection of older, Vintage bears, from the 60's and earlier and a huge collection of board games and consoles. The bears will be putting in an appearance at the Alton Bear Fair on Saturday 18th June and the games are already starting to appear on the website. Check them out -
. The other fair that we'll be at this month is the Donington Park Toy & Collectors fair on Sunday 26th June, where we'll have our usual range of vintage and collectable toys, games and of course teddy bears!
May 2016 Update
After a quieter month in April we're back to it in May with a fairly full diary. We're kicking the month off with the Barton Village Hall Doll, Teddy and Miniature Fair on Saturday 7th May, with the NEC Toy & Collectors Fair the day after on Sunday 8th May. We're then back to Doncaster on 15th May for the Toy Collectors Fair, then Sheffield on Sunday 22nd for the Great Yorkshire Teddy Event, finishing off with the Sandown Park Toy Fair on Saturday 28th. It has meant that we've had a good run at getting the website updated though, and we're almost back up to 100 bears in our bear section.
As well as bears, we've also been working our way through various film and TV toys and have some interesting bits like a He-Man money box, Wombles jigsaws and Mr Men toys. If you want regular updates, please like our page on Facebook. You'll find weekly updates on the fairs that we're doing along with photos of what we're selling and previews of items going onto the website.
April 2016 Update
Sorry for the late update - we had quite a busy start to the month with a wedding in the family and grandson sitting duties during the honeymoon. Anyway, we should be starting to get back to normal this week, so keep an eye out for new items appearing on the website and eBay. Speaking of eBay we've made the decision to stop offering free postage within the UK. Whilst this goes against everything that eBay is encouraging us to do, we feel that it's fairer for customers that buy more than one item. 'Free Postage' isn't really free, so we just add the postage cost to everything on eBay. This means that customers buying more than one item often end up paying for delivery more than once. So, now you can buy several items from eBay and as you've done in the past request a combined invoice which will allow us to give you a fair postage price rather than the full 'free' price on every item. This means you should see lower prices on eBay, but don't forget that everything is still usually cheaper on the website!
It's a quiet month for toy, teddy and antique fairs and we've just had our first full weekend off since January. Having said that we've still managed to fit two in already this month and have two more coming up. These are the Pudsey Dolls House & Miniature Fair (near Leeds) on Saturday 16th, which is a last minute addition, and the Doncaster Racecourse Antique and Collectors Fair on Sunday 24th. Full details of what and where are on our Facebook page every week to say where we are or to let you know about new interesting items coming onto the website.

March 2016 Update
After a busy month in February, ending up at Hugglets, we've got another busy month in March. Starting with Saturday 5th March at Sandown Park Toy Fair, then Sunday 13th for the Bolton Macron Stadium Antique Fair, Sunday 20th March for the National Motorcycle Museum Doll & Teddy Fair and Saturday 26th for the Rivington Barn Teddy and Doll Fair. Full details of what and where are on our Facebook page every week to say where we are or to let you know about new interesting items coming onto the website.

Speaking of the website, we're starting work on a new section where we will be listing Artist Dolls. It's fairly empty at the moment, but that should change over the next couple of weeks. We also have our usual mix of bears from various artists including Kaycee Bears that will be going on this month and some 80's classics like Flower Fairies, Keypers and My Little Ponies.
February 2016 Update
It's a busy couple of months coming up for us, with 10 fairs over the next 9 weeks. Full details of what and where are on our Facebook, why not do it now as we post all of the fairs that we do on there along with any changes to our plans. We also put links and photos on there to new and interesting items that are going onto the website.
page, but during February we'll be at the Bolton Macron Stadium Antique Fair on Sunday 7th, the NEC Toy Fair on Sunday 14th, the Doncaster Racecourse Antique Fair on Sunday 21st and the Hugglets Winter Bearfest in Kensington on Sunday 28th. If you haven't already given us a 'like' on
During January we've made some changes to the website. Most of them are behind the scenes, but if you pay by card or Paypal you now (apparently) stay on our site rather than being redirected to the Paypal website. I've not really noticed much difference, but Paypal assure us that this works much better.
January 2016 Update
Now the festivities are over we're looking at the calendar for the new year. The
page is almost complete now, though there are still a few minor details to sort out. We should also have our flyers ready in the next couple of weeks too.
In the spirit of trying something new for the New Year, we're going to be at the Macron Stadium Antique & Collectors fair at the old Reebok Stadium in Bolton for our first fair of the year. That's on Sunday 10th January, then we'll be at the Donington Park Toy & Collectors fair on Sunday 24th January. We're not planning on being at any other fairs (yet) this month, but our Facebook Page has all of the latest updates as well as some previews of interesting items that are going to the fairs. If you've not liked it already, why not give it a like now? We're also still waiting to hear final details for the new Headingley Toy Fair that is hopefully starting in Leeds in April.
The final thing for this months update is that we've moved out of the Carlton Antiques Centre in Salts Mill, Saltaire. We've been in there for just over a year, but it hasn't really been working for us. We'd like to thank Alan and his staff there for the support they've given us whilst we been in there and wish them luck in the future. You never know, if a unit becomes available we might be back.
December 2015 Update
We've been so busy over the last couple of weeks, I completely forgot to do the December update. So far this month we've been putting in the miles and have been at fairs in Lancashire, Yorkshire and Brighton. We've also got fairs coming up at The NEC and Doncaster Racecourse. Dates are on our Facebook Page for updates on the new fair as well as other news about offers and fairs that we have coming up.
. We also have the provisional list of dates for 2016, which you can find on our
page. We're still going through the individual fair pages, but should hopefully have them updated over the next couple of weeks. We've also had news about a new Toy Fair starting in Headingley near Leeds next year. If all goes to plan, the first fair at this new venue will be at the end of April 2016. Keep and eye out here and on our
That may be us finished at the fairs until after Christmas now, but we're still busy posting out orders and there's still plenty of time to get that last minute present in time for Christmas. We'll be dispatching orders almost every day between now and Christmas Eve, and don't forget we still have lots of bears in our
, which ends on Christmas Eve.
So, Merry Christmas and a Happy, Peaceful New Year to all.
November 2015 Update
Having recovered from our first trip to a fair in Scotland (well the terrible weather on the way back), we're starting to work our way through the bears that we've been taking to the fairs and putting them on the website. Hoepfully by the end of the week we should be back up to over 100 bears in our Teddy Bear section, which will include Charlie Bears, Steiff, Deans and Merrythough as well as lots of Artist Bears.
We have quite a busy run of fairs coming up in November and early December, starting with Sandown Park Toy Fair on Saturday 14th November and the Great Yorkshire Teddy Bear Event in Sheffield on Sunday 15th November. After that we have Doncaster Antique Fair on Sunday 22nd, the Doll & Teddy Fair at the National Motorcyce Museum on Sunday 29th, the Barton Doll Teddy & Miniatures Fair on Saturday 5th December, the Brighton Teddy Bear Event on Sunday 6th December and Pudsey Toy Fair on Sunday 13th December. Please note that the Telford Teddy Bear Parade on Sunday 22nd November has been cancelled.
October 2015 Update
Well they say there's no rest for the wicked, and we must have been really bad. We have a fair every weekend this month starting with The Pudsey Doll & Teddy Fair on Saturday 3rd October. That kicks off a run of fairs passing through Donington Park Toy Fair on Sunday 11th, the Northwest Doll & Teddy Fair on Sunday 18th and the Doncaster Antique fair on Sunday 25th. We're also pleased to announce a couple of extra dates and changes before the end of the year. Firstly we will be at the Scottish Bear Fair on Sunday 1st November and and the Great Brighton Teddy Bear Event on Sunday 6th December.
On a sadder note, we have been told that the Pudsey Toy & Train Fair will only be on twice from next year. We'll miss seeing our friends there, but we'll still see some of them at the Doll & Teddy Fair. We've also been informed that the Telford Teddy Bear & Doll Parade has been cancelled this year. We wish Darren and Lanie well, and will still see them around at many of the other fairs.
